10 Amazing Places For Visiting in Iceland

Iceland is a country and an nordic island located far north in Europe. The capital and biggest city is Reykjavik. It is the 2nd biggest island in Europe, after Great Britain. Geologically young island, which is located on both the Iceland hotspot and the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, means that this island is highly geologically active. So many volcanoes,  some of which are active and so many geysers. One of the most famous geyser is the Gaysir which started erupting on every 5-10 mins after the series of earthquakes in 2000. As time pass by the activity of this Gaysir is getting smaller and smaller.

The climate in Iceland is subpolar oceanic. Because of the warm North Atlantic Current that pass near this island, the temperature is a little warmer then other places on the same latitude. This also ensures that the places where the current passes they do not get frozen. The highest temperature ever measured in Iceland was +30.5 C (86.9 F) in 1939. The lowest temperature was -38 C (-36.4 F) in 1918.

The only mammal that lived in Iceland when the humans first arrived was the arctic fox. Sometimes the polar bears are just visitors that come from greenland, or the bats when the wind push them here.
