Marrakech Ramparts
The Marrakech Ramparts are the rich red sandstone walls that surround the Old City and glow in the sunset. The most impressive gateway is Bab Agnaou, and the gateways have different designs. Take a carriage ride during the full moon for a romantic experience.

Kasbah Mosque
The Kasbah Mosque is a beautiful religious site next to the Saadian Tombs. You cannot enter as a non-Muslim, but you can view the outside of this fascinating building from the 16th century. The gorgeous minaret has an unusual turquoise lining. Many travel companies actually recommend visiting Marrakech just to see this stunning mosque.

Saadian Tombs
The well-preserved and beautifully detailed Saadian Tombs were constructed in the late 16th century. Discovered in 1917, much of its original splendour has been restored. The mausoleum contains about 60 members of the Saadi Dynasty. The most famous of the three rooms is the one with the twelve columns, and the monuments are made of Italian Carrara marble.

Museum of Marrakech
The free Museum of Marrakech is in the old Dar M’Nebhi Palace. The central courtyard has detailed tiling and a magnificent chandelier. There is a larger tiled decoration on the main floor, a display of early photographs, fantastic artefacts and Moroccan arts and crafts.
Ali Ben Youssef Madrasa
The Ali Ben Youssef Madrasa is an Islamic college founded in the 14th century. Beautiful architecture is enhanced by ornate panelled doors and picturesque ceramic tiles that cover the walls, floors and walkways. The courtyard features a huge central water feature and beautiful mosaic patterns.

Museum of Moroccan Arts
The Museum of Moroccan Arts has historic and contemporary Moroccan art and artefacts, intricate Byzantine colours and designs, jewellery, old photographs, traditional costumes, pottery, weapons and a courtyard full of birds and plants and delicious scents. Many travel companies do package deals that include a visit to this museum so watch out for those offers online and at your local travel agents.

Jardin Majorelle
The Jardin Majorelle is a small garden in the heart of the city which took 40 years to create. It is full of exotic plants, coloured pots, pools filled with lotus flowers and water lilies, and the chirping of birds. The Moorish building is painted in vibrant colours. You are able to take a horse and carriage ride to the garden and back.

Medina of Marrakech
The Medina of Marrakech is a World Heritage Site shopping centre. The shop owners in this colourful labyrinth of narrow winding streets love to negotiate their prices! Street food, spices, carpets and clothing are popular. There are snake charmers and monkey jumpers who expect money if they take a picture.

Oasiria Water Park
The Oasiria Water Park has a wave pool, a heated pool, various slides, a pirate lagoon for young children, a couple of lazy rivers and a swim-up bar. A free shuttle runs from town to the park.

The 10,760 square foot Le Grand Casino de la Mamounia is attached to one of the best and classiest hotels and offers guests a superb time playing Poker, Blackjack, Mini Punto Banco, Roulette or on 320 slot machines. There is a free meal available to players, and the place comes alive later in the evenings.
