It’s no secret that London is one of the most incredible cities in the world to live and work in. If you are thinking of moving there, we’ve come up with 10 reasons why it is such a great place for its inhabitants…not that you’ll need any more reasons!
1. It truly is the land of opportunity
London was recently voted as the world’s most desired place in the world to work, beating cities such as New York and Paris to the top spot. It’s not surprising though, as it’s the home of so many global companies offering unique opportunities to their employees.

2. The shopping is of course incredible
London is renowned for its shopping, and quite rightly so! From quirky markets of Southwark to high end department stores such as Harrods, there’s something for every taste and every budget.

3. It’s so multicultural
With over 300 different languages spoken in London, and London being recognized as the world’s most visited city, it’s fair to say that the UK’s capital is one of the most culturally diverse cities in the entire world.

4. There are some really great neighborhoods and boroughs
From Camden to Croydon, you’re sure to find a spot in London that you absolutely love and that suits your lifestyle and your needs. You can find great specific properties here – it’s a great place to start, too!

5. Getting around it and to other places is so easily
Once you’ve got your head around the tube, you’ll wonder how you ever got around anywhere before. Likewise, with 4 major airports in London, you can also easily leave it…should you wish!
6. There’s always something to see and do
No matter what time of year it is, or even what time of day it is, there is always something to see and do in London. From world famous attractions such as Big Ben and world class art galleries like the Tate Modern, to more quirky spots like the cat cafe, there’s something for everyone.

7. The food is great
British food gets an unfair reputation, and London will help prove just how wrong that reputation is. From great quality street feast markets to Michelin starred restaurants, there’s truly something for every taste.

8. There’s a great music scene there
From huge venues to fit thousands to intimate clubs to fit a couple of hundred, there are music venues galore in London, and there’s always gigs and concerts going on in a range of different music styles.

9. It’s more expensive to live, sure…but the wages are higher!
You’ll have heard horror stories of how expensive it is to live there, and yes, it is quite pricey, but the wages are also higher and the job opportunities are unbeatable.

10. You’re bound to know someone who lives there
As of 2013, there was over 8.308 million people living in London (thanks Google) so it’s fair to say you’ll never be alone there. You’re also really likely to know someone who already lives there, or at least the friend of a friend, for example.
