8 Things You Shouldn't Do in Barbados

Many of the people will tell you what you should do or see when you visit a famous destination. But today we are going to tell you the other thing, what you shouldn’t do in that place. Today we are telling you what you should not do in Barbados.

Don’t you ever think to relax under the coconut palm trees

Maybe it is an urban legend that the coconuts are killing 150 people annually, but better be careful. You will never know when the heavy tree fruit will decide to leave its home and land directly on your head.

Don’t wear soldier designed clothes

Don’t swim on the east coast

The east coast of Barbados is still not touched by the human hand and it is spectacular. You can have the most beautiful landscapes of the island right here. Well, on that part of the island there are weird and strong sea water streams that draws the swimmers deeper into the sea.

Do not get near the monkeys

These, seemingly cute little creatures are real “hairy devils.” It is enough to approach within reach of your hands and they can instantly steal your food or you grab your hair. Not to speak for those who are even trained to rob you. Therefore, be careful and do not approach too close.

Don’t underestimate the rum-punch

This classic caribbean cocktail can be pretty dangerous in combination with the sun that is shining so bright all day long. Even in the nights this drink can cause you headaches before bedtimes. Keep in mind that this sweet drink can attract you to drink so much because of the sweet taste.

Don’t sunbathe topless

This is not a french riviera or Miami beach. Barbados is a country where the nudity is prohibited with a law. So dont try to sunbathe every part of you.

Do not upset the turtles that are nesting

Barbados is blessed as a haven for nesting of turtles. For that credits the big population of turtles in the nearby waters. It is a nice feeling to swim in the sea with creatures that some of them could be hundreds of years old. Because of that, there is a law that prohibits touching of turtles that are nesting or to touch their little ones.

Don’t light fire on the beaches

Even though it can be extremely attractive, lighting fires on the beaches is legally banned in Barbados. Don’t let the police to spoil your holiday because you wanted a little more romance on the beach.
