Bahamas officially known as Commonwealth of the Bahamas is an island country in the Atlantic Ocean. It is situated north of Cuba and Hispaniola, northwest of the Turks and Caicos Islands, southeast of the U.S. state of Florida and east of the Florida Keys. This beautiful small country consists of 29 islands, about 661 small sandy islands and 2.387 small, rocky islands. It has a population of about 380,000 inhabitants. English is the official language which is understood from whole population. Official currency is Bahamian dollar which has an equivalent value to the US dollar.
