Badlands National Park is one of the most beautiful and most visited national parks in southwestern South Dakota. This stunning national park covers an area of 242,756 acres (98,240 ha). The park is managed by the National Park Service. The Badlands Wilderness protects 64,144 acres (25,958 ha) of the park as a designated wilderness area.
