Big Sur is home to amazing wildlife and probably the most stunning views in the United States of America. It is a region situated on the Central Coast of California and it has no specific boundaries. This area includes 90 miles of coastline and spans the Pacific Coast along the coastal range of the Santa Lucia Mountains. However, Big Sur is a place without formal boundaries because people seen it as more emotional than cartographic destination. The name Big Sur has its roots in the Spanish language and it is pronounced as “el sur grande”, meaning “the big south”. The name of this region also can refer to the three communities, named as Gorda, Lucia and Posts.

Explore the deep woods and water, ride horses on the beach, visit restaurants and go to local art galleries. These are just a few activities that will complete the day and make you enjoy. Also, the region Big Sur continues to be paradise and inspiration for artists, musicians and writers. Mother Nature is unpredictable, but sometimes creates heaven on Earth. Big Sur is one of the most beautiful and scenic places in the world, so if you have a chance to visit… do not miss it.

Vivid environment is formed by the affiliation of land and ocean. Coast of California offers a huge variety of beaches. For example, the sand of the beach Pfeiffer Big Sur is purple. That specific color due to the presence of particles of manganese. Big Sur’s Cone Peak is the highest coastal mountain that is nearly a mile or about 1571m above sea level.

Road to the surrounding cliffs of Big Sur that passing through various parks on the coast in this area gives an unforgettable experience. Dolphins, whales and otters swimming along the base of mountains and that give a unique imprint to this area. Dry and dense forest, hot air and wind are features of Big Sur. A mild climate year-round is fulfilled with sunny summer, dry fall and wet winter. The temperature is ranging from 40 – 50s at night to 60 -70s by day.
