Although for many of us the lifestyle of the rich and famous is something we can only yearn for, research carried out by Schofields has shown that despite the day to day celebrity lifestyle being out of reach, we may be able to enjoy a few weeks of bliss.It would appear that with the right location and a good group of friends holidaying like a celeb is remarkably achievable.

Elizabeth Taylor – Las Palmas

The former home of iconic academy awarding winning actress Elizabeth Taylor is set in the upmarket Las Palmas neighbourhood, Palm Springs. The villa boasts four bedrooms, sleeping up to 8 people, a large outdoor pool, waterfalls, a spa and some of the actress’s former possessions.

Palm Springs is often referred to as “Hollywood’s playground” and it has been a favoured location of the rich and famous, such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Leonardo DiCaprio and Marilyn Monroe. Las Palmas is now available for weddings, corporate events or as a holiday home; a stay can cost as little as £372 per person per week.

For those with a little more cash to splash, the home of American television host, singer, actor and media mogul Merv Griffin could be yours to stay in for £1,375 per person per week. The walled and gated 39-acre estate can be found in the heart of the Coachella Valley.

Boasting a 7,000 square foot main house, guest bungalows, a lake… the estate can sleep over 16 people and it’s rumoured to even welcome pets.

Sir Richard Branson – Necker Island

For those willing to splash the cash, have you ever considered hiring your own private island? Sir Richard Branson’s private island is available to hire for £9,928 per person per week.

Necker Island can either be hired as an exclusive booking, or individual rooms can be booked with guests coming together at meal times. Spanning 74 acres there are numerous pools, water sports and a bunk room which is tailored to appeal to children that are lucky enough to stay on the Island. For families who want to splash the cash babysitting services can be provided at an additional charge and additional child friendly activities such as treasure hunts and beach Olympics can be organised.

Kirstie Allsopp – Meadowgate

Those who think that you need to venture to a distant land, or America, to stay like a celeb could not be more wrong as celeb holiday homes are also available in the UK. Home improvement star Kirstie Allsopp has opened up her Devon mansion, which she made famous in her TV show “Kirstie’s Homemade Home”  and it could be yours for as little as £248 per person per week.

With wooden floors, a games room and a rather unusual bath in the master bedroom, the house can sleep up to 14 guest shared between then 6 bedrooms.
