Some of the most extraordinary places on earth are not so much available. One of them is found in underwater cave in the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. This phenomenon seems like a peaceful river that runs through the cave Cenote Angelita creates one of the most spectacular scenes ever recorded in underwater photography. Russian photographer and diver Anatoly Beloshchin accidentally came to this interesting discovery. During his adventures he has seen all sorts of things. But, the discovery of the underwater river is the most exciting thing he saw in the underwater world.

Otherwise, Mexico is home to vary and unusual underwater caves that were created thousands of years ago. That is the main reason the experienced divers to see the places that cannot be found in any other part of the planet Earth.

Cenote Angelita is located on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. The name of this secret river Cenote Angelita in Spanish means Little Angel. It can be found after 10 to 15 minute drive south of Tulum. This river is actually a relatively thin layer of hydrogen sulfate separating freshwater from salty water. Up to 29 meters depth the water is sweet and then comes to the layer of hydrogen sulfate. This illusion is a result of the phenomenon that is called haloclina. Divers can dive into the river Cenote Angelita and to see its bottom.

There are even trees and fallen leaves on both sides of the “shore”, making this sea landscape quite unreal. When you look down from the surface you can see the deep blue water. At about 18 meters you will start seeing strange bottom in which are appearing tree branches and fog. Into Cenote Angelita everything seems surreal and you will start to feel sensation of fear reinforced by the effects of nitrogen in your brain.
