Irresistible blend made of old and new architectural buildings is recognizable for Casablanca. It is the largest city of Morocco, situated in the western part of the country on the Atlantic Ocean. The creation of film and music history, as well as countless wondrous adventure was made by the population of about 4 million in the prefecture of Casablanca and about 5 million in the region of Grand Casablanca. “White House” in Spanish – Casa Blanca is the literal translation of the name of this town. Like most Moroccan cities, Casablanca has part known as old town with dramatic curved streets surrounded by walls. It is pretty much ruined and in most stores residents sell items for everyday use. In fact, it is not very interesting for visitors. In the 20’s, French decided to build Habus at a distance of 15 minutes drive from the old town.

With elegant arches and buildings with white facades, Habus is much cleaner and more invitingly than in the center. It is important to mention that Casablanca is famous for the mosque Hassan II, who has the highest minaret in the world, high 210 meters. In that mosque gathers 25,000 believers and even 80,000 can be accommodated in the yard. The most selling souvenir of this destination is Aladdin’s lamp. Do not be overly surprised if you see a woman in dress on the beach, although Casablanca is true liberal Moroccan city.
