The United Arab Emirates (UAE) was formed in 1971 and is made up of seven countries, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm al-Quwain. Although not the largest by landmass, Dubai has the biggest population of them all and is a hub for international travel.
The diet of the people of the UAE consists mainly of rice, meat and fish and they are experts at turning these into delicious meals. Lamb and mutton are the favorite meats and they are often spiced with herbs and spices to make their flavor distinct.
However, they are also aware that their countries attract many tourists every year and you will also find food from America, China, India, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Lebanon, Thailand, Britain and Japan among others.
