Get the Most Out of Your Bora Bora Holiday

Bora Bora belongs to the islands of French Polynesia in the Pacific Ocean. Created by a now inactive volcano it shows how mother nature can use destructive acts to create a remarkable paradise. The twin peaks of the volcano stand proud of their creation in their luscious green attire, looking down at the magnificent blue and turquoise lagoon guarded by an unspoiled coral reef. It’s black volcanic rocks are a wonderful contrast to the white sand, clear water and peaceful vegetation. Like a magical land out of a fairy tale, it’s breathtaking appearance has been drawing people in for years. Resorts in Bora Bora offer many activities to ensure you get the full Tahitian experience.

Tradition

You cannot go to another country just for the beaches. If you want to experience Bora Bora completely you have to see their performances. Three times a week some hotels hold traditional dances. The costumes are colourful and hand made from flowers, coconuts, feathers, seashells and they are changed for each rhythmic dance. They dance to drums, conch shells, ukuleles and flutes. The dances can convey soothing island and even aggressive warrior dances. You can also see traditional fire dances where dancers display their amazing strength and agility by creating memorizing patterns with fire.
