Jacob’s Well is amazing karstic spring, which is the largest in Texas Hill Country. It is one of a kind here and it flows from underwater cave in Texas. It is located in the Cypress Creek, north from Wimberley, Texas. It is four meter wide (twelve feet) and it is a very popular place for swimming and diving. It is a great attraction not only for the local people but for the tourists that knows and and are passing by Cypress Creek.
Jacob’s Well is very deep spring. It descends vertically for ten meters (thirty feet), and from that places it continues at angles as a series of different chambers. Those chambers are separated by narrow passings and they can go as deep as forty meters (one hundred and twenty feet).

Jacob’s Well is one of the most dangerous spots for diving. As the people say, the siren call of the cave is so strong, that many divers have heard it and went to explore it. Unfortunately 8 of them did not survive the adventure.

The cave system of Jacob’s Well in Texas has been explored by cave divers. The results are so interesting. This spring is consisted of 2 principal conducts. One passageway measures approximately 1,300 meters (4,300 feet) from the surface and the 2nd one goes 300 meters (1000 feet) from the point where it diverges from the main conduct.
