I’m sure you’re aware of how popular Iceland has become as a tourist destination (it is one of the most amazing places I’ve ever been to! Lounging in a geothermal river up a mountain as sheep wander past is not something you easily forget). The piece looks at how popular the island also has become for filming movies and TV shows – especially fantasy and SciFi, thanks to its otherworldly landscape.
I think it could do really well as a slightly different travel inspiration piece, aimed at film lovers who would be excited to see the real land ‘Beyond the Wall’ (Game of Thrones), follow in the footsteps of Walter Mitty or stand atop the dramatic waterfall that plays the birth place of mankind (Prometheus).
