Khajuraho is a village located in the central part of India, in the state of Madhya Pradesh. It is located about 620 kilometers southeast of Delhi. The name of the city comes from the Indian word for Date tree. The whole region around the temple was flooded with that kind of tree. City of Khajuraho is an excellent example of a combination of architecture and fantastic sculptures. However, over time, many castles were destroyed by conservative groups because the castles are an entity of erotic sculptures.

That is the reason why many people call the place and castles of Kama sutra. Temples were built of stone, with no binding material. The stones are carved and stacked on each other with a vast and astonishing precision. Pillar and architrave are made of megaliths heavy up to 20 tons. Each of the temples consists of three parts: the entrance, the ceremonial hall and the shrine. The temples at Khajuraho are one of the most remarkable and most beautiful examples of medieval Indian architecture.
