If you think well, you will realize that ancient luxury was actually very practical. Castles were not just made up of pretentious living rooms that have been designed exclusively for the rich, but they also serve as barriers and fortresses during the great wars. The fact that these amazing buildings still standing is a proof of the genius behind the architecture of those who are responsible for their design.
Liechtenstein Castle is proof that ancient architecture is one of the best from all over the world. It is located near Maria Enzersdorf in Lower Austria bordering Vienna. It is situated on the edge of the Wienerwald. The castle was built during the 12th century and was destroyed by the Ottomans in 1529 and 1683, and in 1884 was rebuilt. Liechtenstein Castle is one of the most visited places in Vienna. Below you can see some awesome photos from there.
