Although Greece is one of the most popular destinations of tourists, there are still places that are undiscovered or insufficiently known. Although there are a huge number of beaches, some of them can be separated as more beautiful, better and bigger. Some are known for sporting activities, some of their cultural and historical landmarks, wild parties, and some simply as a great place to vacation. And Myrtos Beach has all of that.
This beach has received certificate “blue flag”, which means that satisfies the highest environmental standards. The most important thing for every beach is how much it can pleased people that enjoying there. But, Myrtos beach certainly fulfils the desires and expectations of all visitors.

Myrtos beach is located on the Ionian island of Kefalonia. The beach lies between the feet of two mountains, Agia Dynati and Kalon Oros. This amazing place is often considered like the most dramatic beach in Greece. Its shores, covered with smooth white stones are poured by the warm and crystal clear water of the Ionian Sea. The beach offers an intimate location for relaxation. Myrtos twelve times has received an award for the best beach in Greece. A beautiful view from the top is unforgettable and coming to the beach, just before the slope, visitors can stop for a moment to admire the view.

Several taverns and bars on the beach provide the tourists fresh drinks and snacks. It also is a great place for watching the sunset. Myrtos beach just because of that, applies to most photographed place in Greece. You just must to perpetuate, to hold it forever, that moment which is not seen every day. This beach is not good for small children, because the current is very strong. Also you can come to the Myrtos beach with public transport during the summer months.
