Admire Prague’s Second Castle

Spot Sigmund Freud Hanging

While exploring the beautifully arranged streets of Prague, don’t forget to look up. The city is full of hidden gems, like the cool “Man Hanging Out” statue. Depicting Sigmund Freud hanging onto a plank for his life, the statue was created by David Cerny, a local artist known for its dark sense of humour. The concept behind this piece of art is that Freud was wondering whether to hold on or not. And of course, this is just one of the bizarre sculptures created by Prague’s rebel artist. 

Indulge in a Different Brewery Tour

You don’t have to be a beer enthusiast to know that Czech beer is world-renowned. But, if you are not very fond of beer, at least catch a glimpse of the old brewery in the village of Unetice. The Uneticky Pivovar was active from the 16th century until 1949, and it has been brewing again since 2011. Not only can you enjoy a memorable tour of the brewery, but you can also catch a glimpse of the beautiful Czech countryside.

Shop at a Farmer’s Market

There are many local restaurants and pubs in Prague, where you can indulge in hearty Czech dishes. But, to get closer to the local culture and cuisine, consider exploring its farmer’s markets. And if you want to visit one of the most famous farmer’s markets in the city, head towards Jiriho z Podebrad square. There you will find many traditional Czech staples, wine and cheese, fresh produce and meat, as well as friendly and chatty vendors.
