Chiemsee lake, which is also called the Bavarian Sea, located between Rosenheim, Germany and Salzburg, Austria. Those who visited the lake, considered one of the most beautiful lakes in Europe…

Beautiful Bavarian lake covers an area of over 200 acres and is divided into two parts: the northern most part called Vitce and smaller, southern part, called Inselse. Lake, as well as the wider region known for its resorts and weekend homes, are named after the prince Kim.

In the lake there are two major and several smaller islands. The largest island, Women’s Island, is known for the monastery located on it. The second largest island, Male Island is famous for the castle of Ludwig II. All other islands and islets are uninhabited.

In the 20th century, the region became known for Kimagu, the now discredited theory that 2,500 years ago the north of the Chiemsee lake  fallen meteorite. Below you can see some awesome photos from there, that will leave you without words and will make you ti wish to go there one day.
