World first: New photo app allows users to ‘remix’ work by Godfather of pop art

A new, free photography app will, for the first time ever, allow users to ‘remix’ artwork by Sir Peter Blake, the Godfather of pop art, best known for designing the 1967 Beatles’ Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover.

For the first time ever aspiring photographers can remix Sir Peter Blake’s work and apply it to their own photos or gallery images, thereby creating an infinite number of possibilities to remix the Godfather of Pop Art’s work.

The photo remixes can then be applied to a 3D model e.g. ship, windsurfer, rubber duck – and viewed, via their device’s camera, within an augmented reality scene and shared across social networks.

Sir Peter said: “Dazzle It uses cutting-edge technology that allows aspiring creatives to remix my design.”

Dazzle It is available on iOS and Android devices from the iTunes and Google Play stores:
