One of the most important cathedrals in the world, Cologne cathedral, wakes unlimited admiration. This Roman Catholic Church is located in Cologne, Germany. Also, this masterpiece is of the Archbishop of Cologne and it is under the administration of the Catholic Archdiocese Cologne. Its mark is two identical twin peaks and unattainable harmony of Gothic architecture. The dominant measured of the structure cause a mix of admiration and wonder. It is 144.5 meters long, 86.5 m wide and its towers are approximately 157 m tall.

The building up of the Cologne cathedral lasted more than 600 years, construction began in 1248 and ended in 1880. It has endured several attacks during the Second World War. Now the masterpiece is a royal church, which recognized Jesus as exalted king. Dematerialization of the stone and the light should be taken as a representation of the heavenly cathedral. This building behind its monumentality, seem to float in the air. The oldest and most precious work of art is the “Shrine of the Three Kings” which is considered to the greatest range of jewelry technique in the world. The Cologne cathedral also has eleven church bells and other artistic treasures.
